This is what I don't get...everyone keeps saying it is going to be a bad 4 years but most likely this is it we are done. Trump is going to pardon himself for all the shit he did last time in office and now he doesn't need to worry about breaking any laws since SCOTUS gave him immunity. This is going to be horrific. We are witnessing the death of America.

Touchscreens were never popular with customers. Manufacturers kept cramming touchscreens in cars and using them to control everything becuase they were being stupid with new tech.

Edit: I guess I should have been clearer. I was talking about as a replacement for tactile controlls in a car like the article is talking about. Reverse cameras and other things that are good to have a touch screen for make perfect sense but using your touch screen to control your Air conditioning in a way that you have to divert your attention from the road to operate sliders and buttons on a touch screen is dumb as hell.

Stepping on a landmine doesn't make it explode instead it arms the mine with a noticible click sound then lifting up your foot is the thing that makes it explode.

This is some asshat complaining that he isnt a billionaire anymore and how he is now humble and hungry to make it back there since his net worth is now only a lowly 225 million and he had to sell his 55 million dollar home. He is not pennyless selling his possessions he just had to downgrade his living style from wasteful worthless billionaire to the low level of a few hundred millionaire.

Don't worry everyone he started a direct sales rug company he thinks should get him back to 500 million. Fuck this article and that guy.

I would guess there is no way in hell they are going to stop making GPUs becuase GPU development leads directly to their ability to make better AI accelerators. I could see them backing off of CPU prodiction before cutting out GPUs.

Every process name is basically a marketing a gimmick. You could sort of use the previous names as a ratio to get a general idea of uplift but that isn't really accurate either. To further confuse things Intel's naming scheme had bigger nm values but is a similar size to lower numbered names from TSMC.

It's important to note that 1.6nm is just a marketing naming scheme and has nothing to do with the actual size of the transistors.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/3_nm_process

Look at the 3nm process and how the gate pitch is 48nm and the metal pitch is 24nm. The names of the processes stopped having to do with the size of the transistors over a decade ago. It is stupid.

It could also be a gross sex term for a dick. During sexy time someone could say to me "yeah give me that hot tube" and I would be immediately less interested in sex.
