We steigern it.

It's totally a thing! I never believed in it until I started a huge blanket in celebration of our anniversary but never got to finish it.

Haven't heard of it outside of the internet tbh. Also, I feel like it's more a running gag than an actual belief. We can probably all agree that a breakup happening every 100 sweaters or so is not exactly a curse.

Chiming in for clarification: Literally it's "bell game" but the word's meaning is more like "bells that play" or "bells to play with".

If there was it's gotta be over by now, right?

Safety car is about to end!

Here in Germany it was introduced last year (I think). Heard it still causes trouble on the organization side, but as a patient it works great.

Ignore the left side of the oval, then you get a lower case p with a looong stroke down and a teeny tiny )-shape.

I hear you, the biggest needles I can handle comfortably are probably 10 mm. But at least when using needles this large garments knit up in no time. So your struggles will be over soon!

So I want to knit up an all-over lace top, which is originally made with two strands of Lang Yarns Mohair Luxe. I've been searching for non-animal alternatives for quite a while now. My best bet might be Lammy Soft Sensation, but as it's rather cheap I'm afraid it might also look and feel cheap. Does anyone have experience with it? The reviews I can find online are rather scarce.

Also been looking into Alize Cotton Gold and Hobbii Amigo. They're not exactly mohair-y but might provide a little fluff and, more importantly, softness.

What do you think? Are there better options? TIA!

TIL I'm actually knitting Russian? Didn't know there was a distinction between regular continental and my tight way. But knowing that might help varying tension for different projects.

I'm always excited for the Sauber poster. It's always like the designers think: "This is a shit show anyways so let's have all the fun we can have! ... ... Yeah ofc the car fits on there, trust me bro."

Don't even know what's it supposed to be

They're really just socks for adults but in oh so tiny. The little man's favorite color was green at the time and he still always took off his socks off everwhere. But not these babies! They were his favorite as long as they fit. They're made from acrylic iirc.

Wanted to knit a summer stop with some spare yarn. It's still missing some fabric at the decollete and I've just run out of yarn. Tried to substitute with a different yarn (the light one at the very top) but it's not quite working. Guess it's frogging time! 🐸

I'm just trying a new heel construction with a reinforced slip stitch back, a gusset and Up Down Short Row Heel. That's supposed to give a better fit, as the bamboo/cotton yarn is (by far) not as stretchy as conventional sock yarn.

Hey there, I feel like this community needs some love! So here is my latest FO: A cropped tee I recently improvised to battle the draining summer heat. It consists of a Tencel/bamboo mix and has a nice cooling effect.
