This is what happens when you have monopoly status. They're too big to fail.

T Mobile is fucking insane too. Their prices for unlimited plans are just crazy. Easily $100 a month for a family plan

I honestly cannot trust game reviewers after seeing some of the reviews for this exceptional game. What game has ever had a successful issue-free launch in the past 4 years? I can't think of a single one. But all of a sudden they are holding this one to a much higher standard, like where the fuck was that when Starfield came out? Hundreds upon hundreds of fake, completely inflated reviews claiming it was perfect in every single way.

Saw this posted on a discord group that I'm in and thought it was a joke at first but when I clicked the link to Reddit, was very shocked to discover that people are actually truly discussing this kind of thing seriously. Like, it's not just a joke, they are actually upset and even triggered about this sort of thing. I mean I guess when you spend $20 to $5,000 on a digital waifu, she can't possibly be flat chested, rightttt?! /s

Is this like a normal thing for this game?

Tbh If I had a friend who has it on Steam I'd probably try it through library sharing but I don't.

Do you like the latest updates? The way the game is headed?

Is your last name is Lizzard? /s

I prefer not to think about how could life be different now if I had not started this game…

I used to think like this. It took me a while to realize it wouldn't be different at all. You gotta take care of yourself in life and that includes your mental health and well-being. Sometimes that's playing a game you love

But like what are you doing Starfield for that long? I feel like after 25 hours I had seen and experienced everything that there was to offer. What else is there left to do?

Thanks for providing this really detailed and interesting reply. Lots of good insight here. For the 'Postgraduate degree' group, I wonder if they're dramatically higher due to the frustrating problems associated with name changes? Like if you publish an academic paper with your full name, you can't easily go back and change it, so that may affect it... huh.

Back in the medieval ages when a woman was married to a man, they were basically considered property for my understanding and treated like an extension of the man's person and family. So it was customary for women to take the man's last name since they were being joined to his family. But now here in the 21st century women are fully independent and last names don't really seem to mean much of anything. I mean what is Smith or McGregor or any last name really mean anymore? Especially in the digital age, lots of people have digital usernames like SarahSmith1727373. So the last name clearly doesn't mean much anymore.... Which leads me to wonder, why do the majority of women still take the man's last name? Especially when some of them have a horrible last name? I have seen some butt ass ugly last names recently, like Fink, Weimer, Slotsky/Slotsky, Hiscock (no joke this is a last name), Hardman.... And then you hear the woman's name and it's like something way more reasonable and less stupid sounding like Kingman, or Harrison, Walls, etc.

Great list! I've tried Dota 2 as well, it's definitely extremely complex and addictive but not my kind of game, I just cannot thrive and enjoy that sort of game. Same goes with League of Legends. Just not my cup of tea.

I am a little curious about Stellaris though. That game seems so incredibly complex, like, what about it is The draw for people? I've heard so many people talk about it and has so many freezy steam reviews but when I first tried it as a demo, it seemed so absurdly complex That my head was spinning. Like I had no idea what the heck was going on. I'm not sure how to enjoy it I guess

You are very brave for playing Starfield for 1,000 hours. I gave up after 25 hours when I completed the entire quest line and started new game plus. Literally couldn't do it. Went and played some No Man's sky, and now that's becoming my new addiction

Threads is honestly terrible. There are these asinine little widgets on Instagram that show you threads that people have posted and don't show you the full one so you click see more and it brings you to the app store. But no one really uses it much, so you see a lot of things being posted with no interaction at all

One thing I have struggled with lately is finding good games to play. I bounce around from game to game trying to enjoy it but it just doesn't scratch the itch like it used to. For example, one of my favorites was old school RuneScape, but it hasn't really been giving me the same enjoyment that it used to. So then I would open up World of Warcraft, Destiny 2, just playing a little bit of each game. Think maybe I need some new games to play but it's tough to find them these days.

So what are your favorite 1000+ hour games?

I have been really tempted to jump into VR for a little while now, I tried it when the quest first came out, the very first one but it was too blurry and made me dizzy. I've considered getting back into it again, but the thing that has made me really hesitant is I've heard that VR is not in the greatest place and that it's really tough to find good VR games to play. For example, there's Fallout and Skyrim VR but they're not really in good shape, and it takes a lot of modding and tweaking to get them to actually work properly. But I'm curious what other people think. Do you think VR is in a good enough place to be able to play it and enjoy it long-term? Or is it some sort of short-term hype thing?
