I just felt like too many people were linux-nerds and tried to make everyone else feel stupid for not understanding the fediverse concept.
I get it now, but I put off jumping in for a while because a lot of people here were so unwelcoming to newbies.
Because I'm not mad about it. In fact, a LOT of the country isn't mad about it. That's how and why Trump won the election.
Lemmy needs to come to terms with the fact that Lemmy's opinions are not the majority right now.
