Hello,

May I ask where you live? I was in the US some time back and noticed the same thing as you.

[-] Blaze@lemm.ee 2 points 7 months ago

Interesting, I didn't think much about it because it relies on Email, you made me want to give it a try

Yes it’s a Reddit link, but I know consider Reddit as a glorified Imgur. Also it avoids consuming storage on the Lemmy servers.

If someone wants to upload it to catbox.moe or Imgur, feel free to comment with the link, I’ll update it

Edit: You know what? You’re honestly right. I was just irritated about it and this was the most convenient place I could find to air my grievance. My apologies. I think the conversation is important but in the future I’ll aim to be less aggrieved about it and not blow it up into something more than it is.

Sounds good!

The server meta community probably

It is a tool, like Lemmy or any other platform is.

If an education specialist creates some content there, and references established research to back up their claims, what is the issue?

A niche example is multilingual parenting, where there are very interesting people debunking stereotypes on teaching your child two languages at the same time

Dunno about TV shows, but for new shows, there’s lemmy C/s that are good enough to improve on better than word of mouth

Which shows are not TV? Genuinely asking as usually for me shows are TV (or Netflix or whatever). Do you mean more like Broadway style musicals? In any case, do you have any recommendations? I'm mostly active on !moviesandtv@lemm.ee but that's TV

I started using the app a few weeks back. I try to always limit the length of my browsing sessions to avoid losing too much time.

I also have dedicated accounts for different types of content (movies and shows, language learning, parenting, history, etc.) so that I still maintain some kind of focus.

Also the Revanced version helps with no ads and limited tracking compared to the original version.

The best would be a Fediverse alternative, I know there is https://goldfish.social/ but it still seems in an early stage, hopefully it will get more mature in the future.

London and Edinburgh are obvious choices, but I'm curious if someone has other suggestions.

I also found the article linked that seems interesting: https://whimsysoul.com/harry-potter-places-to-visit-in-real-life-filming-locations-book-inspiration/
