Welcome to /c/Gay - Your LGBTQ+ Haven

We're more than just a community; we're your haven for celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and connecting with like-minded individuals.

Community Rules:

~ 1. No bigotry. Hating someone off of their race, culture, creed, sexuality, or identity is not remotely acceptable. Mistakes can happen but do your best to respect others.

~ 2. Keep it civil. Disagreements will happen. That's okay! Just don't let it make you forget that the person you are talking to is also a person.

~ 4. Keep it LGBTQ+ related. This one is kind of a gimme but keep as on topic as possible.

~ 5. Keep posts to a limit. We all love posts but 3-4 in an hour is plenty enough.

~ 6. Try to not repost. Mistakes happen, we get it! But try to not repost anything from within the past 1-2 months.

~ 7. No General AI Art. Posts of simple AI art do not 'inspire jamaharon' and fuck over our artist friends.

I really think I’d let this one go. I kinda like it.

Was it deprecated? I'm having trouble finding it.

That doesn't seem to work for me. The symbol looks kinda similar, but more like a weird T.

Yeah that's pretty much it, it's not 1 unicode, it's 4 of them arranged to try and look like it

Prince changed his name back to Pronce some time before he died. I like how SNL handled that little tidbit: "...the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince..."

[–] Microw@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago

I mean, it never was his choice to not be Prince. His contract with a music label forced him not to use "Prince", ergo he did his music as "The Artist fka Prince " for a while.

All his best work was as Pronce

I like Camille personally, but there's a lot of Prince alter-egos to choose from!

Prince chose the symbol to represent gender fluidity so it's not really THAT far off.

Why can't you both be happy?

[–] calypsopub@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

I mean, have you SEEN Prince?

I think you're gonna have to 'transplain' it to your boss. :-D

Thought this symbol was one of those prostate toys...
