“would’nt” is a new one…

[–] krellor@kbin.social 24 points 1 year ago (3 children)

It's a contraction... of would don't.

Would'n't've

[–] Donkter@lemmy.world 1 points 10 months ago

Thats a contraction of "would don't it"

[–] hedgehog@ttrpg.network 8 points 1 year ago

Not quite. It’s a contraction of “would cant,” which is a misspelling of “wood cant,” the language of the trees.

And since eggs don't come out of a cow's mouth, she was quite happy about it.

Beef tongue is good though, ostensibly. I'm told it tastes like pot roast.

[–] ReluctantMuskrat@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Better than pot roast, and it's extremely lean.

[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Really good. Just cooked, sliced and with mustard.

People have gotten way too disconnected from their food. I personally love a good lengua taco but a family member of mine refuses to eat chicken if the bone is attached. I love when people will talk about how they could never hurt a cow because of how cute they are then run to Burger King or McDonald's or whataburger to feed the fam.

[–] kokesh@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Should go to the replicator.

All fixed

there are people who think cows are cute?!

[–] Faresh@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Have you ever seen one? They are super cute.

[–] Neon@lemmy.world -1 points 1 year ago

I see them multiple times a day

Not cute

[–] boatsnhos931@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I think they are cute, so are piglets. But when i get hangry, I'm not myself. Cute and delicious, winning combo imo

I don't like to taste food that can taste me back.

[–] doublejay1999@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Most of my girlfriends love tongue

[–] Drummyralf@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

You will give me an egg!

[–] Psythik@lemm.ee 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

I mean I won't eat it either, and I'm half Mexican. Eating a tongue is just plain weird.

Eating eggs is weird too if you think about it too much. I try not to cause I still want to enjoy them.

I'm an avid meat lover, but if you don't want to think about it and find it weird, maybe become vegetarian. I guess it's people with your concerns that they need to reduce meat consumption.

Personally I'd kill a cow and eat it's tongue then suck the egg out of a chicken cloaca no problem!

[–] Psythik@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Trust me: I want to, but I can't get over having to eat a bunch of beans to get enough protein. I can't stand beans.

I'll be among the first to try lab-grown meat the moment it hits grocery stores.

I am also looking forward to this. Is there a Lemmy community to discuss Cellular Agriculture, akin to r/wheresthebeef? If not, we should create one.

[–] paddirn@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Can I offer you a nice egg in this trying time?
