But what does he mean? That the public sector workers should rebel and guillotine the president and kraznov?

[–] Bakkoda@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

It's more of a im14andthisisdeep kind of feel

[–] BorgDrone@lemmy.one 101 points 3 days ago (2 children)

Well, if he wants to follow that logic: Tesla’s CEO didn’t make billions of dollars, his workers did.

[–] RedAggroBest@lemmy.world 24 points 3 days ago

Yea, the fact that any CEO would take a stance like this just shines on his hypocrisy. If leadership bears no responsibility, they also shouldn't be taking home any of a company's profit.

[–] MNByChoice@midwest.social 9 points 3 days ago
[–] OfficerBribe@lemm.ee 14 points 2 days ago

So if I would order a hit on Elon, I would have no consequences? Sweet.

[–] psx_crab@lemmy.zip 133 points 3 days ago

Ahh, so he actually admit he achieve nothing and don't deserve the billions he own, his worker did.

Which one is it, melon husk?

[–] HonorableScythe@lemm.ee 40 points 2 days ago (2 children)

People who hire hitmen aren't murderers. The hitmen are.

[–] daannii@lemmy.world 1 points 20 hours ago

Should we start a Kickstarter or a GoFundMe,?

[–] daniskarma@lemmy.dbzer0.com 26 points 2 days ago

Billionaire seal of approval

[–] Corno@lemm.ee 51 points 3 days ago (2 children)

This adds to an ever-growing list of things.

  • He created a safe space for Nazis on his platform

  • He amplified pro-Nazi content on his platform

  • He offered support for Germany's far-right AfD party, which uses Nazi symbolism in its posters.

  • He did not one, but two Nazi salutes during Trump's inauguration.

  • He's endorsed established antisemetic conspiracy theories such as the "great replacement" conspiracy theory.

  • After receiving backlash for the two Nazi salutes that he did at Trump's inauguration, instead of apologizing, he posted Nazi puns.

All the gaslighting from his supporters with "you can't read his mind" "he's autistic" and "it was a Roman salute/my heart goes out to you" is quite frankly an insult to people's intelligence.

[–] loomi@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Three salutes. Two to the podium, he then turned and did 1 more to the people behind and above him.

Most video only showed the first 2

[–] mmddmm@lemm.ee 4 points 2 days ago

And the public (selected as partisan people) immediately cheered, without any confusion or protest.

People don't show that enough. The public reaction is more important than the original gesture.

Why the fuck is this fascist posting under the black flag? Does he consider himself an anarchist?

[–] HK65@sopuli.xyz 42 points 3 days ago (1 children)

”Dark gothic maga" is trying to take it over I guess

[–] TimeNaan@lemmy.world 15 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Oh no, is that a real thing?

[–] Quill7513@slrpnk.net 24 points 3 days ago

it's what elon musk is calling anarchocapitalism

[–] Enkers@sh.itjust.works 15 points 3 days ago

Symbolic appropriation is the modus operandi of fascism. That's why the swastika, a former symbol of peace, is now one of the most widely known symbols of hate on the planet.

[–] balssh@lemm.ee 15 points 3 days ago

At this point I don't think he considers himself anything other than entitled to put US and the world in his pocket =))

[–] LordWiggle@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago (2 children)

Hitler did nothing wrong, he was just misunderstood! I was just following orders! I had no choice! I didn't know! I'm the victim here, not those millions killed! I had the best intensions! I am just a small gear in a very large system! Yeah, but they did stuff too!

Aaaand scene

I've been saying the reason he's obsessed with the letter is its resemblance to the swastika.

[–] LordWiggle@lemmy.world 3 points 2 days ago

Nice.

Literally 2 days ago I was thinking of photoshopping the X logo as a swastika, but I'm on holiday so I had put that idea on hold.

The scene I pictured while reading that:

“Workers” is (intentionally) obtuse.

They were paramilitary — private militant groups elevated to public status based on their allegiance, and plugged into the existing military apparatuses.

So like J6ers on the low end, or Blackwater on the high end.

Speaking of Blackwater, what is “Echo Papa” up to these days?

Prince had struck up a working relationship with El Salvadoran President Nayib Bukele, which not everyone at the meeting knew. … Prince eventually excused himself from the group, telling those gathered that he planned to pitch the detention idea directly to Bukele.

Not only would El Salvador accept and jail potentially hundreds of thousands of violent undocumented immigrants currently in the US, it would also take in “dangerous American criminals in custody in our country, including those of US citizenship and legal residents.”

Jesus Christ.

More right wing “guns don’t kill people” bullshit logic.

[–] NickwithaC@lemmy.world 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"the gun helps."

Eddie Izzard

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 11 points 3 days ago

The gun is “just following orders.”

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

Isn't it kind of the opposite though? As in the gun would be analogous to the worker carrying out the order, and the shooter would be Hitler.

Not that they'd ever give a shit about consistency or hypocrisy.

I get what you’re saying and you’re correct, but my comment was an attempt to point out that republicans use bullshit logical arguments to divorce cause and effect, the tool and the user. Yes, people kill people, but the gun is the tool specifically used to make it easier and faster. No, Mao didn’t personally kill millions, but he used the tool of ignorance and populism to accomplish it. It’s like if Mao said “I didn’t starve people, they starved themselves.”

[–] Nangijala@feddit.dk 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I have always thought you could make that point with something like a knife. It is a tool made to assist in chores. You can use the knife to feed your family or kill your family. The knife is just a knife.

But a gun is specifically designed to kill. There is literally no other purpose for the gun. You can't use it in a kitchen. You can't use it to carve tools. Its only use it to take life.

That's why the guns don't kill people mantra rings endlessly hollow to me.

[–] RememberTheApollo_@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

That is a valid argument. However, conservatives refuse to make any connection between the tool, the wielder, and the fact that the tool is designed to make the job easier. Whether it be hammering a nail or killing people as quickly as possible. Usually followed by taking the absurd and hyperbolic argument that baseball bats or cars kill people too while ignoring that cars are specifically designed to avoid causing death and baseball bats are for sport with no intent to maximize harm like bullets or blades.

[–] Nangijala@feddit.dk 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Ah the whataboutism. I have run into that one too when I argue against recreational drugs. Pro drug users always always always bring up alcohol and everytime I'm like "yes, alcohol sucks too and I would ideally see it phased out of society instead of adding weed and cocaine etc to the legality club. And then they start their blabbering about how restrictions just makes the black market boom and yadda yadda and you shouldn't have any restrictions because criminals will win, then. But I'm still like: yeah, but making accessibility easier will also not benefit society.

It's the same discussion as it is with guns. They never want to actually talk about the issues, but would rather deflect and focus the discussion in on topics that has less and less and less to do with the original point. Ignore all your arguments and declare themselves the winner of the discussion because they feel they successfully won against their own strawman argument instead of actually trying to engage in the conversation.

"I didnt kill anyone, i was just giving the orders"

[–] cogman@lemmy.world 26 points 3 days ago

ADL? Hello? You going to talk about this? No?

[–] BobTheDestroyer@lemm.ee 18 points 3 days ago (3 children)

I read this as a call to action for the people Musk/Trump are ordering around. If everyone just said "no, I won't to do what you tell me" then we might avoid the collapse of the government/economy/country.

KILL ALL NAZIS!

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 9 points 2 days ago

Everyone knows that armies are just a loose collection of undisciplined psychopaths that are basically left to their own devices.

[–] TempermentalAnomaly@lemmy.world 10 points 3 days ago

Musk, Zuckerberg, and CEOs don't make social value. The workers do.

[–] renzhexiangjiao@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 3 days ago (5 children)

can't tell if it's a tankie take or a fascist take... not that any option makes it less terrible

[–] Dimmer@leminal.space 32 points 3 days ago

It’s a ketamine take.

[–] SkyeStarfall@lemmy.blahaj.zone 23 points 3 days ago

It's an authoritarian take

Agreed. I blame those who voted them into power and I blame those who haven't taken out the garbage, by any means necessary.
