Time for the entire world to ignore US copyright, patents and trade marks.

Mexico will probably do that too...but hold on, a guy has to run barefoot from the capitol all the way to each state's Capitol. Its pretty laborious and guaraches have not been legalized for the work. In fact Neutlapatl Martinez Dela O must find appropriate sized nopales along the way for it will be much longer than just running to the tlalnepantla.

By the time he delivers the presidents message, a new us president would have been chosen. Neutlapatl can only run once more for people his age, but he is eager to do it! Gurranoptepantlaptl Lucero de Veracruz is ready to take his place. He was born 3 days ago, but will be out there practicing the art of the message soon. He's just counting down the otates right now... Zero otates....ometzontly otates...

Ma Cualli Tonalli everybody!

Sometimes I ask myself, "How does he not see what he looks like?"

And then I realize that he does see what he looks like, and he decides that this is better than what he looks like without makeup. Orange or a bloated corpse. I guess you choose orange.

Canada has every right to stop electricity exports. Yes it would affect where I live. I hope they do it.

[–] Cheems@lemmy.world 7 points 18 hours ago

I'm practically on the border of Canada and I truly hope that they do. I'll figure it out but we need to actually need to be taught a lesson.

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 6 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Yay! We don't need a border tszzar then.

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 2 points 7 hours ago

Pretty sure we had one before the demands from Trump that we do the things we were already doing. They just got a title change.

Trump just stopped all military aid to Ukraine.

R****d just opened pandoras box, the likleyhood of NATO and Russia shooting at each other has now raised signifigantly with this decision.

Turn off the electricity exports, America is a hostile entity.

How come we're allowed to say stupid but not retard?

Aren't they both insulting people for their lack of intellectual capacity?

[–] heavydust@sh.itjust.works 0 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

People decided it was a new N-word because it was a medical term a few centuries ago. I don't understand it either.

[–] JohnEdwa@sopuli.xyz 6 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

And mentally retarded replaced idiot, moron and imbecile as the medical term when they became insults. It has since been replaced by intellectually disabled for the same reason.

It's the euphemism treadmill, it never ends.

[–] formulaBonk@lemm.ee 3 points 8 hours ago

Kids just call each other mentally disabled to insult each other. That’s why it never made sense to censor repurposed terms because they just get replaced with the current thing almost instantly like you said.

0% on Russian goods though...

[–] mmddmm@lemm.ee 1 points 5 hours ago

He didn't remove the sanctions, so up to today, it's ∞%.

Tomorrow is another day, though.

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 2 points 7 hours ago

Think I heard something last week about the US negotiating with Belarus to secure Potash and something else. Canada supplies nearly all of the US Potash imports. They were never not going to be putting these tariffs, seems like they were just trying to find a replacement supplier for some of the things what little manufacturing they have left vitally needs.

Also, just a reminder, when Trump was telling the American public that covid wasn't anything to worry about, he was also sending Putin shipments of covid tests and testing equipment.

Why would he sanction his bestie?

What does Russia export other than prostitutes?

[–] FreakinSteve@lemmy.world 2 points 15 hours ago

Wait, I thought it was today? Or maybe yesterday? Or whatever
