- No crypto
- If you post news exclusive to a country please name it. ~(This isn't a bannable rule, just a recommendation!)~

Was just checking back on here, good choice, if it doesn't get bad, no further fragmentation :)
If it does get bad, this can always be reverted
Banning by instance achieves nothing but further alienation.
Let them be, just don't hesitate to ban those who poison the conversation.
+1 to this.
Thank you for stepping in!
Regarding rule 3, what about things like VPN and email services that have proprietary components?
Exceptions may be made, such as source available/some proprietary components but promoting completely proprietary software is not allowed
Mullvad has wireguard, and a open source client but the backend code is closed source. Would that be allowed?
Is there anything in privacy guides that wouldn't be allowed?
What are tankies?
That sounds like one of those internet-only words from people who are socially crippled and live exclusively on the internet and not enough time outside meeting atrangers to socialize
It's a real term dating back to 1956, and it's a bannable offense by instance rules.
The instance's rules are:
- Nothing positive or promoting cryptocurrency, blockchain or NFTs
- Nothing extreme-right-wing. This includes conspiracy theories, SovCit, Pro-Police, AnCaps etc. We’ll know it when I see it, don’t test us!
- No anti-science topics.
- No Tankie shit.
- No TERFs.
- No Porn.
It sounds like essentially "Do not post anything that expresses a different opinion." and the "No anti-science topics" sounds like "Do not post documentation that proves our belief is false or wrong."
Thank you for your service, Sir!!!!
.ml was robust community when I joined, but I have a feeling that constant banning of talent really hurtnthe discourse.
I am hoping we can pick up these discussions here on current best practice.
