It looks like it's this github issue https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy/issues/3008 it happens for me whenever I'm on all, regardless of the sorting I'm using (hot, active, etc)

Fyi the jerboa app doesn't have this issue for me. I installed it out of desperation, and it's actually very stable. You might want to consider using that until the fix comes in.
Yeah i replaced my muscle-memory RiF spot on my homesreen and it works good. My only complaint so far is all the contents so meta, I'm glad people are getting up to speed but it doesn't replace the content itch yet ๐ค.
you're not alone..
(someone please enrich this, but..) it looks like this is a bunch of people growing the overall community, and we're seeing it in real time.
i was frustrated at first, but now i'm just amazed.. give it a few ticks, and i'm sure it'll be rectified. but for now, i'm just doing my best to enjoy the ride
EDIT - i keep starting with the same links when i refresh, and they're all local. changing setting to All in settings has no effect for me yet. still a fun ride..
I don't think we've figured that out yet. It keeps you on your toes for sure. Neat to see all of the activity, but it does make it tough to get the cursor to what you want to click.
It's outright impossible for me now. It seems like it'd be less drag on the servers to only update on page load/refresh.
I've seen a couple of people mention this already, so I imagine that it's on the list of needed QOL improvements. At least I hope it is.
This is a bug which was already reported on their github page. I don't have the link to the bug report on hand right now, but they're working on it
