I thought the bread and cheese were atop a huge bologna slice, going by the thumbnail.

[–] GBU_28@lemm.ee 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

In what way are you incorrect

[–] sverit@feddit.de 4 points 1 year ago

I think (hope) it's a plate?

[–] LogicalDrivel@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

Im still not sure it isn't.

[–] DrCatface@lemmy.ml 33 points 1 year ago (2 children)

frank what are u eating

a hoagie

frank you are just jamming random meats and cheeses into your mouth

I like to make it in my mouth, it tastes better

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 14 points 1 year ago

Spoken like a true hamster

[–] Zoop@beehaw.org 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

This pops into my head every single time I eat just loose slices of random meats and cheeses...which is, apparently, a lot.

To be pedantic, I don't really see Skyrim NPCs eat weird meals, but as the main character, I've regularly gobbled down 3 sacks of flour and a wheel of cheese mid combat.

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago

3 sacks of flour

Nobody can hurt me if I'm incredibly dry

[–] vynlwombat@lemmy.world 19 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Project zomboid enters the chat

[–] Fraylor@lemm.ee 7 points 1 year ago (2 children)

You saying you don't eat two sticks of butter, a whole ham, and wash it down with three tubs of melted ice cream?

objective quality of life downgrade that a good loaf of bread and some butter would be a wholesome meal for a young knight roaming the countryside; yet today it is slovenly

[–] ThatWeirdGuy1001@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

I would say it's the opposite actually.

People in medieval times would kill for the average person's spice rack nowadays.

[–] general_kitten@sopuli.xyz 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

bread and cheese is perfectly good food

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago (2 children)

It's missing some lubricant though

[–] Leviathan@lemmy.world 8 points 1 year ago

You'll find that if your bread and cheese actually taste good your mouth has a tendency to create its own lubricant. The brick cheddar and supermarket bread pictured here probably don't make thrown though.

[–] general_kitten@sopuli.xyz 1 points 1 year ago

depends on the kind of cheese and how you consume them

for example cream cheese is good and also cheese soup is surprisingly good

[–] Agent641@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

Really good fresh bread can be amazing just on its own, or with some butter or olive oil.

[–] Mordachai_Shedbacon@lemm.ee 13 points 1 year ago

Hell yeah! Add a whole salami and an apple, and you got a picinic

[–] mayo@lemmy.today 12 points 1 year ago

Nothing wrong with simple recipes!

[–] 9point6@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

Let me guess, someone stole your sweetroll

[–] Catoblepas@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 year ago

Is Skyrim dinner the gamer version of ‘girl dinner’? 🤔

[–] CorrodedCranium@leminal.space 7 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Looks like something you'd see at a bougie restaurant labelled as a deconstructed grilled cheese

[–] SubArcticTundra@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Ah yes deconstructed meals, my favourite genre of food.

[–] slem@lemm.ee 6 points 1 year ago (2 children)

Is that a piece of plywood

[–] Squirrel@thelemmy.club 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Looks like a brick of Colby Jack cheese.

[–] Mr_Blott@feddit.uk 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Of all the things that looks like, cheese is down near OSB and Jupiter

[–] Squirrel@thelemmy.club 1 points 1 year ago

Looks like a brick of Colby Jack cheese in the US.

Can confirm I just ate a thing of pasta with butter, salt, and pepper

I mean, that just sounds like an excellent meal to me.

[–] Stamets@startrek.website 5 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Motherfucker I cannot afford cheese in this economy. I went dumpster diving for groceries earlier. Who the fuck can afford to eat cheese like this?

[–] Catfish@lemmygrad.ml 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's actually free. You can fill a cart (or backpack) with groceries and leave.

[–] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Time to seize the ~~memes~~ means of cheese production!

... I'm gonna name my cheese production mean (a cow) Cheesy Fartsalot ...

[–] Catfish@lemmygrad.ml 1 points 1 year ago

Haha awesome always good to see another farmer

[–] moosetwin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 1 year ago

I've had that exact italian bread eaten exactly like that and it tasted so good

[–] darkmatter@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Did someone steal your sweet roll?

[–] hexachrome@hexbear.net 4 points 1 year ago (1 children)

you mash it into a ball with one hand – ergonomic cheese sandwich

[–] CorrodedCranium@leminal.space 3 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

I once took my thanksgiving leftovers and put it through a food processor and made thanksgiving bricks.

[–] Misconduct@startrek.website 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)
[–] CorrodedCranium@leminal.space 2 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago) (1 children)

Was curious how it would taste. It was ergonomic too I suppose

[–] hexachrome@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago (1 children)

badass recipe, could only improve by leaving a stick in them to make thanksgiving popsicles

[–] CorrodedCranium@leminal.space 1 points 1 year ago

Would be interesting. It was super dense. I feel like it was probably half a day's worth of calories

[–] Kovari@lemmy.ml 3 points 1 year ago

Ooh I've been there

Only when I got really drunk though

[–] Bnova@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago

Girl dinner?

[–] CliffordBigRedDog@hexbear.net 1 points 1 year ago
