Not sad about the iPad Pro situation, there’s hardly enough to utilize the M2 or above in them.

The fact that iPads haven’t been tablet/baby Mac convertibles for the last ten years is one of Tim Apple’s biggest missteps.

Do we have to keep calling him Tim Apple?

He’ll be Cooking if iPads have better software.

I have an iPad air, m2-11". I use some things like the Affinity suite, so my work can be demanding. I find it does everything fine, as I use it as a sort of ultralight laptop, with keyboard case and pencil. For my personal use case I see no reason to even get an M4 pro.

I'm thinking M6 is probably when it'll be finally worth it to replace my MBP M1 Pro...

I think I'm actually more interested in getting Wi-Fi 7 than the CPU.

Same here with 16.2’’ M1 Pro. But I think OLED screen in MacBook Pro will be pusher for me to upgrade. I’m perfectly fine with CPU right now as a backend software engineer.

yep, m1 mbp 16" here and the only thing that makes me think about an upgrade is the oled screen. already this has the nicest laptop screen of all time! my wife is bugging me to upgrade so she can have my hand me down but this thing still feels fast as new!

The M1 Pro chips pack some power

I think people want more software features than hardware these days, but you do you apple

I write software.

I love these new hardware features.

Definitely a selling point for me.

The performance and battery life alone are a no brained these days, especially when work is paying for it.

I’ll pick the M-series over anything intel for my engineers, all day every day.
