Summary

Former Tory leader Iain Duncan Smith has warned that an alleged Chinese spy, linked to Prince Andrew, represents just the “tip of the iceberg” in Beijing’s infiltration efforts in the UK.

The man, known as H6 due to a court order, reportedly gained Prince Andrew’s trust to act on his behalf in business ventures.

Smith criticized delays to the UK’s Foreign Influence Registration Scheme and accused the government of weakness toward China.

Tensions persist over Labour leader Keir Starmer’s recent efforts to reset relations with Beijing, sparking criticism from MPs and trade unions.

"Of course, I know this through third parties, and not because I ever had dinner with any foreign operatives myself.", he added, making a poor attempt at hiding several glaring nervous tics.

(This is a joke, but it's probably not far from the truth.)

Oh, Prince Andrew again. Well, this news is at least a little more flattering - or rather not quite as damning - compared to the last few times I've heard about him. Seems like a really great guy with very reliable business partners and kind-hearted friends, this prince.

Western leadership has been festooned with Chinese Intelligence Operatives since at least the mid-90s. In just the last decade there's been multiple cases uncovered in the U.S., Germany, France, and the UK. I'm sure there's more, those are just the ones I know of off the top of my head.
