A "Showerthought" is a simple term used to describe the thoughts that pop into your head while you're doing everyday things like taking a shower, driving, or just daydreaming. A showerthought should offer a unique perspective on an ordinary part of life.

Me as a kid thought that.

SO and I feel the same way about each other's body and clothes odour after not too many days.
2-3 days is the sweet spot, 1 and 4 are OK, more then 5 days is yucky again.

Those idiots pee all at once and then water it down. Look at it! They're completely insane! You could piss on so many lawns with that!

If they don’t already think we’re nuts for wearing clothes.

Why are they putting on fake fur?

To trap our smells for their enjoyment

There are soo many things that dogs would find very confusing, if they had the capacity to analyze that way. What if they knew that all of our interpersonal interactions were governed mostly by ego, shame, and pride?

I don’t believe all our interactions are governed but ego, shame, and pride.

I certainly just exist with my friends all the time and we talk without filter and just exist together.

Now this is a proper showerthought...

Gotta make room for new smells

My beagle hates it when I do laundry or if my goldendoodle gets perfume at the groomer. Everything MUST be stinky according to the beagle. He does his best to make everything have his hound smell by rubbing all over everything and everyone. I'd be mad if he wasn't so damn cute when he does it. He makes dumb little noises and gives me side eye as he wiggles around like a doofus

Never would have come up with this on my own. I think you're probably right.

Or collecting their poo.

I feel like dogs tend to to give us the benefit of the doubt about everything, never jump to thinking we're crazy.

You think I wash.

smell of us

You meant to suggest the situation when dogs wear our odour, right? Like, perhaps, they rub against us and pick up a scent to wear ?

To check for odour without wearing it themselves, it's just "smell us". So, I'm not sure whether it was a typo.

[–] elephantium@lemmy.world 3 points 1 week ago

I thought OP meant that the clothes smell LIKE us in this one.

[–] Ironfacebuster@lemmy.world 2 points 1 week ago

I think they mean when the clothes smell so much like the person wearing them so much that it's noticeable
