Coward used a towel

Took me a while to work out what I was looking at. It's an American style hotdog wrapped in a paper towel placed into the drop down sun glasses of a car / van. Although it must be a pretty small hotdog to fit in such a space, shrinkflation at its finest

Thank you for explaining where it was, I thought that was a hole in the ceiling or something

Just mustard? What is this, Deutschland at the dang Freimarkt?

For me, it's the Doger Dog toppings: ketchup, yellow mustard, diced white onion and pickle relish.

This is now a thread about hot dog topping preferences.

The holy condiment

[–] sem@lemmy.blahaj.zone 4 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

These are all toppings which can be had at the Costco food Mart, where the hot dog is $1.50

Everything but the relish. Actually, swap that relish for the cheapest, meatiest chilli with some ultra processed shredded cheese tossed in to the mix.

Like when the local hot dog cart gets to set up at a county fair, so they decide to go fancy with it and earn that extra $2 they're charging.

Maybe some Old Bay shaken over the top.

[–] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

😂 do they even make kimchi in Ireland? 🇮🇪

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

there are korean people in ireland. in dublin there's a street thats close to being acknowledged as little korea, but its also populated with a lot of lgbt bars and such, so there's no clear majority

[–] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Yeah I looked it up on Google maps looked yummy. I guess y'all have kimchi at tesco as well. Thanks for inadvertently sharing some culture.

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

guh i would not buy tesco kimchi.. there are a bunch of decent asian food shops that have a bunch of korean brands

interestingly, this one korean food counter that sells bulgogi and bibimbap etc has corndogs, and they had one called potato corndog, which I expected to be a hotdog surrounded in a hashbrown style sheath, but it turned out to look like a pinecone with short french fries sticking out in an orderly manner. my wife was horrified

[–] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Eh get what you can I guess. I buy kimchi from target. Tesco kimchi can't be much worse, can it?

That sounds divine! Why would she be horrified by this?!

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

she just was not in the mood for such an abomination. you have to picture the little fry ends being stuck into the hotdog in a tight and symmetrical lattice pattern. depending on your mood its either pretty great or a sign of the end times

[–] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Idk man your Irish potato lattice corn dog sounds like food innovation to me but I wasn't there. I could see just wanting to eat something and not have to deal with the newness though, I suppose. There's some days when I just want to eat oatmeal and fruit and nothing else.

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 weeks ago

Yeah id eat tf out of that.

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

A slice of american cheese on the bun first, dog, then chili mustard ketchup relish. And then the spice.

[–] JudahBenHur@lemm.ee 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

you absolute fucking wild man

[–] RizzRustbolt@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago

Do not attempt. I'm a professional.

[–] OhStopYellingAtMe@lemmy.world 7 points 2 weeks ago
