Just asking. Not angry that I can't get dinner at 6AM after a 12 hour shift at Amazon or anything. Juuuuuust asking.

Decades ago I would prebuy their burittos in evening and throw them in fridge at home, and then take them for breakfast the next day. But their prices have jumped so much, and the quality dropped so much that I now make everything from scratch at home and it is much more satisfying

I do love a bean burrito, but you're right. They're way too expensive now. The green burrito got it's return recently and that's even more expensive, by frigging like 40%. It's insane.

Even tacos are stupidly priced. I found a local Indian grocery store selling 90 packs of raw corn tortillas (frozen). You just pan fry with a bit of oil and bend them while cooling. Works out to 10 cents a shell. Plus filling.

Any frozen pizza can be a breakfast pizza if you put eggs on top after it's done cooking.

Getting an egg in a Pizza Pocket has its own challenges

[–] DudeImMacGyver@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 month ago (1 children)

No, not really. There are better places to get breakfast.

I loathe fast food breakfast like WHY is that a thing. Also my local taco bell serves lunch at 7am yayyy

But anyway I'd get breakfast from Starbucks

That stuff will kill you or maybe preserve you. A guy I know worked there as a manager and later moved to an internal corp Starbucks role. He said never buy any of their food. It is loaded with junk so the shelf life is super super long.

Good thing I hate "breakfast food" and only eat string cheese and croissants from there lmao

[–] MNByChoice@midwest.social 5 points 1 month ago

Sure. Not as a regular thing, but as a fast meal before a long drive through an area with few options.

I wouldn't suggest it daily.

I used to like their breakfast burrito and breakfast crunchwrap. I haven't ordered from there in years though. It feels like their quality has gone down

[–] Zomg@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Yeah, it's not too bad. Id suggest a breakfast crunch wrap if you're at all curious.

[–] CanadaPlus@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 month ago

I would. I do leftovers for breakfast all the time.

[–] eldavi@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 month ago

finding a francisee that doesn't do breakfast is worth their weight in gold.

never, but i have enjoyed adding bacon to my quesadilla once or twice when i got an early lunch there. do they limit their normal menu in the early morning? i thought they just added a couple things.

Hell no, I’d whip up vegan breakfast burritos from a block of tofu and soy chorizo (or a complicated fake meat recipe I have) before doing that.

If you’re in Los Angeles, Burgerlords’ breakfast burrito is where it’s at.

Breakfast is the easiest meal of the day. 6 beers and 2 coffees and I'm ready for exploitation at my part time jobs.

As for normal people, look into overnight oats. all ya do is plop the stuff in and its good to go tomorrow morning. You can even put it in a container to take it with you. Just don't eat it while you drive or you will get milk all over your car.

The thing is that I wake up at 4PM to go to work from 6PM to 6:30AM

At 7AM I'm done for the day. I want dinner.

[–] HurlingDurling@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago

Coffee and toast for me... but I add cheese some days when I feel daring
