45,000 taxi drivers are generating receipts and paying taxes now, after a new law went into effect in September

45,000 taxi drivers are using centralized platforms that calculate and generate receipts for them.

110 individuals, not using centralized platforms and not working for any company, have registered and are using the government's tax app to insert the fare manually after each ride. They have generated 3,000 digital receipts worth ֏3M since September.

Some individual drivers are not as savvy with phone apps so they want a more simplified approach: send me a bill, I go to the bank and pay it, and I receive the right to drive a full month [without further payments].

GOVERNMENT OFFICIAL: This has been a successful project so far. 45,000 people, who were completely "invisible" to the tax agency in the past, are currently registered through platforms and will pay taxes for the rides totaling ֏12B so far.

how do you invest $6 billion and receive $44 billion in economic benefits in two decades?

As you know from the August 29 report the government is discussing a comprehensive demographic strategy package prepared jointly with an independent organization that involved world-class scientists.

It's expected to cost over $6 billion and bring $44 billion in economic returns, in addition to a better structure of population and human capital.

Its co-author Tigran Jrbashyan spoke about the package. It's mostly the same information covered on August 29 but contains some new information. Jrbashyan says no other country in the region has a strategy plan as detailed and professional as this one.

Turkey wants a trade route through Armenia as an alternative to Georgia-Azerbaijan link

The minister of infrastructure of Turkey said the route through Armenia is an "alternative" version of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway, and that it will increase the cargo capacity.

He said the new link will pass through Caspian, Azerbaijan, Armenia or Iran, then Nakhijevan and Turkey.

He said whether it will pass through Armenia or Iran depends on Azerbaijan's negotiations. "In the case of Iran, there was a lot of progress in the beginning. There is development on the Armenian side as well. It will become clear in the near future. [Turkey wants to] connect to Azerbaijan and the Turkic world through the shortest route."

Armenia denounces Israel's attack on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon

Israeli forces fired at an observation post belonging to the UNIFIL peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon. No Armenian peacekeepers were injured.

YEREVAN: Armenia as a contributing country to UNIFIL, firmly denounces the targeting of the headquarters of UNIFIL, entrusted to foster stability in accordance with relevant UN Security Council resolutions. //

UN GenSec Guterres condemned the Israeli attack.

Israel forces again targeted the UN peacekeepers, the second time in two days. One of the injured peacekeepers was taken to a hospital.

UNIFIL: This is a serious development, and UNIFIL reiterates that the safety and security of UN personnel and property must be guaranteed and that the inviolability of UN premises must be respected at all times. //

EU FM JOSEPH BORRELL: Another line has been dangerously crossed in Lebanon: IDF shelling of UN peacekeepers whose positions are known. //

Spanish PM Sánchez and earlier French President Macron urged countries to stop selling weapons to Israel.

SPAIN PM: It is urgent that the international community stop exporting arms to the Israeli government. Let me at this point criticize and condemn the attacks that the Israeli armed forces are carrying out on the United Nations mission in Lebanon. //

Georgian government explains why it didn't join the sanctions against Russia

PM of GEORGIA: The share of our foreign trade in Russia's trade is only 0.3%, so the application of sanctions by us would not have any effect on Russia. On the other hand, Georgia would see a 10% economic decline in the first year, or in the worst-case scenario - 18%. This would lead to an economic collapse. //

Kadyrov's foe survives an assassination attempt in Moscow, days after Kadyrov revealed an alleged plot to assassinate him after a dispute that began with the attempted takeover of a large Russian business

Context in October 10 news.

Several shots were fired at Sherip Alikhadzhiev yesterday. He was hospitalized and survived.

He was an ally of Ramzan Kadyrov's late father Ahmad Kadyrov, and a former government official in Chechnya. After Ahmad's death, he became a government official in the neighboring republic of Ingushetia, while the new president of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, called him a "criminal".

It is unclear whether the assassination attempt was related to the recent surge in inter-ethnic tensions between the Chechen and Ingush peoples, who have a long history of feuding, following a failed Chechen-led raid on the Moscow headquarters of Russia’s biggest online retailer Wildberries, in which two Ingush security guards were killed
