sacrifices had to be made when turning the country ~100º counter clockwise to get that sweet inland sea between them and Spain

[-] Stovetop@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago

They gave it to Spain apparently

[-] youRFate@feddit.de 25 points 1 year ago

Why is France rotated like 90 degrees counter clockwise?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 43 points 1 year ago

French revolution

[-] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 8 points 1 year ago

Always has been...

[-] AbouBenAdhem@lemmy.world 15 points 1 year ago

So the French Revolution was literal.

I want to see that cliff, where the summit of the Mont Blanc plunges directly into the Mediterranean.

How powerful are the communes that they were able to stop franco expansionism dead in its tracks?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

The communes are militarily protected by Germany from France

Edit: I'm pretty sure in the dream I'm a german politician attempting to negotiate a ceasefire with France, since it's actively fighting the communes

[-] PyroNeurosis@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Probably not at all, but exist as a buffer state for the Germans that would be steamrolled.

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 year ago

The germans actually protect Bavaria from France

[-] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 10 points 1 year ago

I'm not digging that Marseille lost the sea and now enjoys a german climate

[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

TIL that inland France has "German climate" 😂

[-] Hadriscus@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

I am not familiar with Germany so I just went with german climate

[-] AbsolutelyNotABot@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago

Italy finally got Corsica back?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

Maybe, it's just not french anymore. Might be independent?

[-] PokeFan28@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 1 year ago

Why is bavaria on the left side of germany instead of the right?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 12 points 1 year ago

Actually it's in france

[-] GrimSheeper@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago
[-] Viking_Hippie@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

No thanks, I already ate.

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 3 points 1 year ago

[-] GrimSheeper@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Did France always look like that, or did the Bavarians pull a little prank on it?

[-] fidodo@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago

Looks like it got decapitated and the head's been pushed over

[-] jonsnothere@beehaw.org 4 points 1 year ago

I always knew I'd die crushed by the Côte d'Azur.

[-] kozel@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

What happened in Pyrenees/South Occitania? Is Andorra OK?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago

I think Bavaria is South Occitania, but the name's different for some reason

[-] alertsleeper@lemm.ee 2 points 1 year ago

Is Spain now part of Europe or Africa? Or a separate continent?

[-] krimsonbun@lemmy.blahaj.zone 1 points 1 year ago
