This is the best summary I could come up with:

At least 17 people have been killed and more are feared missing after a railway bridge under construction collapsed in north-eastern India, officials said.

The incident occurred near Sairang, about 20km (12 miles) from Mizoram's state capital, Aizawl, its chief minister said.

Up to 40 workers were at the site when the bridge collapsed, according to local media reports.

Mizoram chief minister Zoramthanga, who uses one name, said emergency workers had recovered 17 bodies so far with many local people helping with rescue efforts.

"All possible assistance is being given to those affected," said Prime Minister Narendra Modi's office in a statement.

Accidents on these kinds of construction sites are not uncommon in India.

Is the same country who just made history landing a probe on the moon?

Maybe they had Russians build the bridge

It's not like the United States is immune to construction mishaps either.

Is this is greatest super power in the world?

Jokes aside.

It's so funny you guys can't seem to look at things as black and white like cut funding for space and redirect that money to fix bridges. There is a concept of marginal benefit. Spending more money on bridges will not fix fundamental issues that league the country. What should be celebrated should be celebrated. What should be critized, should be critized. Both things can co-exist. Its not one or the other.
