Titane (piefed.social)

I've been taking a "mental break" from horror on account of some personal jim-jam. But little bits keep floating up here and there. And one that keeps floating to the surface over and over again is Titane. On account of it being one of the most surreal flicks I think I've ever seen. Just really out there, and I remember watching it. Turning back around, and giving it a second go right then and there because it was just absolutely flabbergasting. So in my current state - can someone please tell me that it wasn't all just a fever dream and that Titane is absolutely 100% real and fucking phenomenally weird =P!?

(*Another one that pops up from time to time is Fresh because it's freakin' hilarious. I mean it's not like - THEEE horror movie but hot damn is the ending where everyone is hobbling around in the dark when the tables turn freakin' hilarious =P!)

Titane is a real horror movie, unless perhaps you and I had the same fever dream.

There was a huge amount of discomfort watching that movie. It was like just when you were getting used to the theme, it was suddenly a totally different kind of story. And that happened several times. It was really excellent.

Hahaha, I more so just wanted a geeked out reason to talk about Titane but wrote it as a joke. Hot damn this movie crawls my mind from time to time. The sound of her smashing chopsticks into people's ears - I can still hear it in my mind's eye. I liked that things were in chapters even though I think maybe it was sort of jeering to folks. I never watched Raw, but I wonder how it is. But since I am taking a pause on horror movies - I gotta sit down with my hands under my butt and just "be good" =P!

I really enjoyed Titane. Like, there's so many twists and so many WTF moments.

'Chapters' is a good way to put it. Like, there'd be this huge tonal shift out of nowhere. Like, first you might think the movie is about trauma, then you might think it's about a femme fatale killer, then suddenly it's body horror. They did a really good job showing gender dysphoria, gay panic, and creepy incestous undertones.

It's one of those movies that you just have to see, but you don't exactly want to recommend to people lol

Most def that one. It was a joke I wrote - but for sure if you like off the wall horror movies with bent "protagonist" then you should take a watch if you haven't. It's pretty naners and it's really kind of like a surrealist x humanist experience.
