There's newcommunities@lemmy.world, but I'm not certain if kbin has one yet. I think all we have is findakbin, which is...technically the opposite of what you're looking for, unless someone has happened to ask about your topic

Using a familiar name and the right hashtags should be a good start. But while I done that and have a small sub base already, I am the only one making content on m/tes.
Most people don't create content, they just consume or discuss it. I imagine that's going to be reddit alternatives' biggest issue.
