Thank you I haven't used twitch in a long time but last I remember it was serving 4-6 ads back to back. Shit was wild.
Thanks, I had no idea this existed.
Does Xtra block ads aswell? I've used purpletv in the past but I watch twitch like once a year
It does, but it seems to me like the blocking breaks somewhat often, since Twitch is always rolling out changes to bypass adblockers. Just tried it and it is blocking right now though!
I'll admit I haven't watched a stream in a while, so twitch could have easily updated something, but in my experience, yes it blocks ads!
Is their intention to kill Twitch? They're getting bombarded with 1 star reviews for over a month for this update now, and they still pushed through.
The new app is quite literally unusable.
People can bombard them with 1 star ratings all they want, if they keep using the platform nothing will change.
I stopped using it as soon as the update was pushed to me. Like I said, it's unusable. Even if I wanted to use it I couldn't, it's so bad.
PSA, Twitch is available on the Revanced Manager.
Grayjay is also a option if you want to avoid the ads. Eddit* spelling changed from Gayjay to Grayjay
If you're making spelling edits, it's "ads", short for advertisement. "Adds" is a mathematical expression.
I've been using the Xtra app on Android exclusively ever since this string of updates started. The new Twitch app is completely unusable.
