- Be civil and nice.
- Try not to excessively repost, as a rule of thumb, wait at least 2 months to do it if you have to.
"wtf are you on about? Oranges have been banned for 10 years."
"I'm eating one right now."
"You're a liar, prove it."
"I'm not going to take a picture of myself for you. What kind of idiot thinks oranges are banned?"
"Oh yeah, prove they're not."
"Prove oranges aren't banned by the government? How the fuck?"
"See, I rest my case"
"You fucking idiot...[3 hours of research and case law into it being legal to eat an orange] here you happy?"
"Oh well they banned them in my country (of 6 people)."
At least they didn't ban apples.
Not that I want to compare apples with oranges but...
Well done, good joke
Me: "I don't like social media..."
Random Person: "So basically what you're saying is you hate technology? You also failed to mention emails, blogs, and podcasts. I'm literally shaking."
another random person: Um actually I'm an expert in technology and email is not social media because it isn't social or media
Another Random Person: E-Mail isn't media????? WTF Im so mad I would bonk you on your head right now if I could. Thats so stupid!!!
Rando: I worked on the original team that invented email and you're all wrong.
- anti-social media
After a few years of every argument ending in "educate yourself" the people went out and decided that they could.
Unfortunately, education is best practiced by people who have an understanding of the subject matter. That's whe teachers are valuable.
Now everyone is an expert and we have rampant conspiracy theories because a bunch of people consider watching one YouTube video degree equivalent education.
Also engagement maximizing algorithms reprogrammed large groups of people. Flat Earth, The Big Lie, QAnon, "Woke" fear, Ivermectin, ect.
People without knowledge can't distinguish bullshit from reality.
Insert “college is useless” dogma spewed by these “experts” who at best have dropped out of their 2nd semester in college.
It’s almost like “outrage culture” or “hipster social justice”, people constantly trying to one-up each other over whatever unique/obscure social wrongs they can find or just trying to twist people’s words around to make them seem insensitive or intolerant. Even the terminology can’t even be agreed upon sometimes because it’s constantly being updated, it’s like trending hashtags almost.
It’s fine to care about something and try to bring awareness to these causes that people might not ever know about, but you don’t have to beat people up about just not knowing something. You can educate without insulting. I particularly notice it within certain communities and one community is particularly militant to the point of attacking neutral bystanders or people that might otherwise support their cause.
If there was ever an award for the most accurate on point meme ever, this would be a contender.
...change my mind.
I'm sick of this nonsense, it's a cancer on discourse.
One of several reasons I left FB
I've run into this on every single platform. But it is worse on Facebook.
Never tell a true idiot to "educate himself" they will return and explain in great detail why the earth is actually flat!
Only the purest of idiots tell others to "educate themselves" in a discussion.
I don't have the time to explain to you how wrong you are. But I do have time to call random internet people idiots over it. /s
Please tag your gore and/or pomegranates.
cw: Gore
It reminds me of that famous interview of Jordan Peterson
So what you're saying is... you like the next Hitler mentor and want to see Jews and Black people burn?
/s
Haha! The people I disagree with are like this all the time! But not me and the people who agree with my opinions. Nooope. Not us. Nosiree.

The insanity of believing someone cares which fruit you prefer is just accepted as the “normal” part of the meme here, and that’s pretty interesting to me as someone who didn’t have the internet in their home until high school.
Then someone always proves them right! Now they have “haters”! It’s amazing. This internet thing could have been cool.
Totally.
And another random person calls you with an omophobic slur for liking mangoes.
That's the duality of the internet.
See, for an example: This post.
Ahhh. Good old fashioned sea lioning at its best
