My goodness that is smooth details. Any close ups on the joinery cuts before assembly? Sorry for delayed comments just jumping into this woodworking instance?

Technically no, but I've got some shots of The Bigger One I Built Right After That One which is effectively identical.

That's a stack of the rails, with a tenon on each end and the groove that accepts...

The slats were made by gluing up a few 1x6s into a 6x6 an then milling and resawing them. Compared to planing a 1x6 down to 3/8" thick, that was a much more efficient use of stock, an upshot of which is some of the slats are 2 ply. I did several batches of those and they came out to various widths, for a bit of rustic flair I distributed them somewhat randomly, plus very thin ones would go at the beginning and end so it looks "centered." Except for the very right-most of every side, each slat has a simple bead detail on its right-hand edge, just to fancy things up a bit.

This shot is about the best I have to show the mortises on the legs, along with the groove that spans them for the slats to poke into.

The ends were glued up as assemblies, and then a set of rails glued into place and the slats slid into place...

ratchet strapped together...

Until ridiculously long.

Very nice box, for an old man!

Oi who you calling old? I'm lower middle age! /s

It looks good but I don't know if it qualifies. I don't see any plants, you've only posted "a box"

It's the woodworking part of the planter box. This isn't !gardening@lemmy.ca

Stand back I don't know how big this thing is going to get!

You know, it's kind of horseshit that nobodies story ever sucked so bad that, at the end, they were rejected From The Midnight Society.

They always told an absolute banger, and Sam would give them this knowing smile that said, "You're in, brother."

If I'm remembering the show correctly, there were some permanent members, and occasional inductees. I seem to remember one being rejected, then telling another story and getting in.

These are memories of a framing device of a children's scary story anthology series from thirty years ago.
