Correct. While neither are fit for office, one will staff smart people to do the job for him while the other will actively burn US democracy to the ground. A lot of us aren’t voting for Biden as much as we’re voting against Trump, and god damn do I wish this wasn’t the case (again).
It can! People should already know Trump is unfit for office, it's basically all the Dems were talking about from 2016-2020.

Except that they want to bulldoze democratic institutions in favor of autocracy. That's their explicit goal.
Trump isn't the important part to the Republicans - he's just the one who happens to have a chance to deliver what they want.

The "if" in that sentence is operating way out of design tolerances and doing far more heavy lifting than it was ever rated to carry.

The man hasn't been able to carry a conversation in a bag for years, and we have hours of video showing his mental emptiness.
He tried to shake the hand of someone who wasn't there.
He's being abused by his handlers.
And yet, somehow, he's still more fit for office than Trump.
