Oooh shiny new logo too
Makes sense, with how Nintendo has been especially bad lately, may as well keep constantly updating before the inevitable C&D comes
As i understand it emulator software is largely viewed as legal are long as they don't ship other people's IP (decryption keys, bios, etc).
I don't think dolphin is doing that so they should be in the clear.
If Nintendo can show that you knowingly promoted piracy, you are still screwed. If I recall correctly they were able to do this with yuzu because they were adding support for games that were only available through piracy, as they weren't even publicly released yet. Dolphin obviously doesn't have to worry about that specifically though.
Dolphin may have uh a certain strong in there that correlates pretty close to a decryption key (legally of course)
I'm only enough to remember the game cube was known as Project Dolphin before it was officially revealed. I like the name stuck for this project
What is Dolphin? Dolphin is a GameCube and Wii emulator with high compatibility across the majority of titles for both platforms. It was first developed as closed source in 2003, and as open source since 2008.
I had to look it up.
