Do you feed them?
My locals get dog food and healthy scraps. If I see a pregnant Jill or one with a passal, I try to up the scraps a bit just in case they need the boost. Have also trapped a couple to take them to rehab for medical care when there was something very obviously wrong.
EDIT: Don't be looking at the cat food. They get tossed Purina Complete Dog Food. It's what the rehab I volunteer at prefers for patients due to the mineral and vitamin balance, so I keep a small bag at home.
