Yah, this one’s so meta. Makes you wonder if it’s by design.

I’m so lost, I could be a meme.

Fucking typos! 🥲

This one tripped on the starting line with that crucial typo, but I really agree with the sentiment. Maybe it’s pedantic, but a lot of the things that get dropped in this community are shitposts rather than memes. And you’re definitely right that a lot of them are not even memes at all.

There are more shitposts in this community than in c/shitposts. They have more memes than this community.

This place is now shitty comics, Tumblr screenshots, and crappy unaltered photos that all get mindlessly upvoted. Most reddit-like community on Fediverse as far as voting. At least the reddit sub kept posts on topic.

And before I'm hit with another "everything is a meme" bs reply, Internet memes have never been the garbage in this community. Google "meme" and you won't get any of this crap.

I just want to see !nsfwmemes@lemmynsfw.com !relationshipmemes@lemmyis.fun !stonermemes@lemmy.beyondcombustion.net

Get huge and then most of my meme needs will be met and I can leave this place. I definitely feel the moderators are seeing enough traffic here that they can be stricter.

Yes because if you google "meme" you will only find the most generic memes that appeal to the most people. The memes we have here are like a fine wine. You need to like 'em but if you do, holy shit they're great.
