I'll add to this.. I got back on my computer and it said "report created" or something.. some poor dude probably got reported from me bumping my mouse or something. I checked and have no idea who got the unlucky click, and there seems to be no log anywhere.. haha woops. Sorry rando

That happened to me too, I was replying to someone and when I hit the 'add comment' button it said 'report created'. Like, nooo! I was just trying to have a nice convo about a kitty! π
A minute ago I commented then went to a different unrelated post and found my comment there (totally out of context)
No idea whats up with thatβ¦
Happened to me a couple of times, no dialog to confirm, just report created.
They do something. I am a mod of /c/gaybros@lemmy.world and receive reports. I am however, unsure if the instance admin also receives them. There should be better mod tools for sure. There should be an option to "escalate report" to the instance admins, for a proper ban.
