Looks like you did a great job! My first few cross stitches all looked like that on the back lol that will change the more you do it though! The big thing is to try and find creative ways to avoid skipping over too many spaces. I always end up skipping over a few times, but I try to keep those long strings under an inch and if possible stitch over them with the next color! At the end of the day though no one is really going to look at the back unless you show it to them, so as long as you're happy with the front it's not a huge deal! I hope you stick with it!
