There are no gaming routers. There are only companies that write that on their products.

"Gaming" routers don't exist. Thats just a marketing buzzword to jack up the price.

What are your usage requirements? If you list those we can provide an adequate router suggestion.

Some possible requirements:

  • do you need wifi capabilities?

  • location of where router will be located physically in your enviroment. (Ie: concreate basement in a room. Standard walled living room. Outside. Open living space. Etc.) ?

  • if hooking up wired devices, how many?

  • what are your network requirements? 100mbps? 10Gbs?

  • will you be powering any PoE devices with said router?

Pfsense on a custom PC, ubiquity unify wireless AP, and ubiquity 24 port switch. I'm done with shitty consumer grade routers.
