Honestly queues are fine if

  1. I can see my spot in queue (bonus points for estimated time remaining)
  2. AFK players are kicked

They’ve already done 2 and 1 would make me fine with waiting in queue. But as it is their queue is not even a queue, it’s a raffle. There’s no line, just a mob waiting to get in.

yeah the 10/30/45/45s delay is not actually a queue, in fact might actually be extra burden to the connection/login system where given enough player "waiting" they are triggering themselves with massive amount of login requests.

there are already PC utility the generate self invites without modify the game or inject.

I hope it works fine as last night was really smooth, however weekend is not guaranteed for sure.

I was talking to a friend about the same thing. The timer seems like a server timer, not the client polling. All those clients then are just retrying the login? No wonder their auth servers are slammed

2 has done a lot for me. Haven't really had connection issues

How is it currently with USA peak times?

Since the first patch this week I've had no issues getting in, but I am in Oceania so I'm probably not playing at the peak times.

Yeah I have been off work this week. During the day USTZ it’s totally fine. 5-6pm EST it goes to the queue. Dunno about now but the past few days have been much better than last weekend

Oh that's good to hear, hopefully this weekend won't be too bad. I did manage to get in a few times last weekend, but with matchmaking completely not working I didn't really want to play by myself anyway.

For the past few days matchmaking at least has been fully working

Yes thankfully, been having fun the past few nights!

Also swapping the .dll file trick worked before the patch to get me a few games on monday

they could have avoided this whole debacle by not making it a live service game. its bullshit that matches are hosted p2p but still somehow there is a max number of concurrent users

And this is why I refunded the game and moved onto others where the devs actually give a shit. Helldivers 2 is just.... Embarassing
