The AI Horde is a FOSS, crowdsourced cluster for Stable Diffusion and LLMs. We've been running for more than a year now!

Petals is another project like this, very interesting. Somebody is going to come along and build a blockchain for buying/selling AI power (and some method to verify that work) and that service's cost is going to drop through the floor. Anybody will be able to access it. A bunch of projects are "working on it", it will be exciting to see who wins that race. The same thing has basically already been done for file storage.
