ngl, i kinda feel sad

i grew up in england as a child, and was exposed to her and the british monarchy in general, and they were a significant part of my childhood, and i guess the combination of of the lack of responsibilities and the general impressionability of childhood just left me with a super warm, nice, pleasant, comforting feeling about her, she was kinda like my grandma...

and it inevitably feels sad to me when this part of my life goes away

but on the other hand, i realize the implications of monarchy, especially given the current crises in england, and very much think that monarchy is a bad thing, and so these two irreconcilable perspectives weirdly coexist within me...

You have no concerns for things like, you know, very tiny things how these monsters colonised and looted and tortured India for 200 years?

Calling inhuman, monstrous and genocidal activities some implications is very... hand wavy, just saying. Brits divided and screwed up Asia and Middle East border lines, among many other obvious things. Hong Kong only happened a couple years ago, and China still has skirmishes with us over those damn border lines. We deal with their shit to this day. And then we have brainwashed people writing RIP and wishing this monster a peaceful death.

I wonder how many will act apologetic for Clinton, Obama, Bush, Kissinger and other mass genociders.

Just trying to make you feel that what you said about her being a grandma to you, for us she and British Empire is one of the most horrific monsters in human existence.
