In Wednesday statement, Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo repeated his claims that DNA fragments used to develop the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine could integrate into human DNA

Escalating his controversial criticism of vaccine technology, Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo called Wednesday for a halt in administering mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, based on a theory that has been refuted repeatedly by global regulatory agencies and health organizations.

In a statement issued on his state department website, Ladapo repeated claims he first made last month that DNA fragments used in the development of the COVID-19 mRNA vaccine could integrate into human DNA, causing a range of side effects including cancer. He alleged that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has not adequately assessed these risks.

“If the risks of DNA integration have not been assessed for mRNA COVID-19 vaccines, these vaccines are not appropriate for use in human beings,” Ladapo said.

The problem with Ladapo’s claim — and his new call for a halt in use — is that there’s no evidence to suggest DNA integration is happening through the COVID-19 mRNA vaccines or even that it could happen.

What makes me fucking insane about this is that if that was true, then that’s also what COVID is doing. Because the vaccine doesn’t do anything to your body the virus doesn’t also do, the virus just does more and it’s worse. So if it’s bad enough to stop vaccines it should be bad enough to do a for real, grind to a halt shutdown along with strict masking and an overhaul of air hygiene standards in public spaces.

But if you suggest even 1/10th as much they have a big baby meltdown. Which is it, Joey? Does COVID give you cancer or is it just a cold?

The level of stupid wrapped up in this guy is amazing. Is there some contest he's part of some drinking game where the most wrong answer wins?

This fuck was literally hired over some Op-Ed's he wrote:

Ladapo's op-eds caught the interest of Florida Governor Ron DeSantis.[16][4] On September 21, 2021, he was appointed the Surgeon General of the state, replacing Scott Rivkees, pending confirmation by the Florida Senate. Simultaneously, he was appointed an associate professor at the University of Florida Health in a fast-tracked hiring process initiated after the Board of Trustees chair — a DeSantis advisor — presented his resume before the UF Health president.[19] Faculty members have since alleged that university administrators suppressed information about Ladapo's views on COVID-19 before the vote on his tenure.[20]
