Lemmy must be using the prefers-color-scheme media query as I didn't even know it had a light mode!

Personally I think it does look much better in dark mode.

I don’t know if you’ve seen the new Voyager app (formerly WefWef) but it has a dark mode that I absolutely love. The app looks a lot like Apollo on Reddit which is why I gravitated to it

Hmm. This is what my dark theme looks like...I've been complaining about it but apparently mine looks different from what everyone else is seeing. I'm using Microsoft Edge.

I personally use the Dark Reader extension (available on Firefox and Chrome) to automatically convert sites to dark mode. That way I don't have to depend on the site creators to manually create a dark mode switch.

Connect has an amoled mode which I'm rather attached to now.

go to your username in the upper right hand corner, click the dropdown, select "settings", then scroll down until you see theme. You can change it to whatever you like, but darkly is what I screenshotted.
