Red Bull can’t afford another season with a second driver who isn’t as good as George/Carlos especially as the field tightens and the teams get closer. That’s prime positioning to win the drivers championship but lose the money that comes from winning the constructors

I still don't see Checo getting the axe yet. He absolutely could be performing better, but even when his qualifying blows, he makes up for it enough on Sunday. Beyond this season, I don't see him staying. But I don't think it'll happen before then.
Exactly, who is going to do better in that car while staying under the cost cap?
Don't believe the drivers count for the cap. Or the three highest paid employees
I think the parent comment meant without causing a substantial repair bill for pushing the RB19 to keep up with Max.
Yeah. Even with his current form, what's keeping Checo in that seat is the fact that there simply aren't any better alternatives. He's still good enough on Sundays to collect some points, enough to secure the WCC.
I mean, that’s obvious to anyone with a brain Will… Checo was obviously in danger even without Daniel coming back home this year
