Every website knows what browser you're using unless you change your user agent to pretend to be a different one (although even that won't always work). The banner is a little weird, but it really is good advice, chromium based browsers are a huge danger to the open web
Linux
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Linux is a family of open source Unix-like operating systems based on the Linux kernel, an operating system kernel first released on September 17, 1991 by Linus Torvalds. Linux is typically packaged in a Linux distribution (or distro for short).
Distributions include the Linux kernel and supporting system software and libraries, many of which are provided by the GNU Project. Many Linux distributions use the word "Linux" in their name, but the Free Software Foundation uses the name GNU/Linux to emphasize the importance of GNU software, causing some controversy.

Based Xenia suggesting browsers for an open and healthy web. Go Xenia!
Checking if the user is using Firefox is pretty easy:
CSS.supports('(-moz-user-input: none)') // only returns true in FF
It's clearly a play on the fact Xenia is a Fox.
I know of one Fox, and he is Fox McCloud.
