A cringe start of an over hyped race weekend.

A guy impersonated a traffic pylon. A DJ hardly touching his equipment. No cars. A few minutes of embarrassed drivers. Lots of LEDs. Typical Vegas: no substance.

Even the audience cheers were montaged.

Let's go racing and forget this monstrosity.

I didn't watch but can somebody summarise it.

Very professionally produced karaoke (except a couple artists who actually played instruments). Lots of leds and lasers. One song per artist, with a varied mix of styles. Awkward drivers introduction at the end.

All in all, not bad, if those kind of shows are your thing. Not as cringy as Miami.

Sounded like Jared Leto (30 seconds to Mars) was singing live (albiet probably with a backing track).

I think practically all of them (if not all) sang live. That's why I jokingly said it was a karaoke. (No disrespect intended). I truly prefer live voice over a backing track than straight playback with people mimicking the performance.

27 minutes of musical acts, 2 minutes of announcing the drivers’ names (you already know them)

Journey was good. The singer they got to replace Steve Perry did a good job.

Okay, I'll start: was something else supposed to happen at the end there?
