I love new music, but I don't follow links to music unless I know I'll like the genre. For anyone that migrated, r/listentothis is my prime example (I don't know if they ever came back online, so I'm unsure if anyone can go back to reference)

Example - title, artist [genre]

Wolves of the Revolution, The Arcadian Wild [folk][bluegrass]

I'm really uncomfortable with requiring this kind of thing, because it's a slippery slope towards making it damn hard to post stuff.

I grew to hate /r/listentothis and /r/music because every time I tried to post something, it would get removed by the auto mod for any one of a number of spurious reasons. It's nice that anyone can post links to the music that's making them vibe on here, and if it doesn't speak to anyone else, then it'll drop out of sight soon enough. I understand why those subs had such stringent rules, but at this moment in time, this community isn't busy enough to justify it.
