The tracking is just part of the Google ads, it's not a separate thing, so if ads are disabled then it isn't intermented so no ads or tracking. The guy wants to be paid for his work, I don't think that's unfair.

Just gotta take his word on that I guess since the app isn’t open source.

Reddit wanted to be paid for their work too btw. Many found that to be unfair.
