Maybe we should all just be okay with an app that brings more content and users to the platform - and stop fighting over which one people pick, when the idea is that we should be free to choose.

To play devil's advocate, I am more concerned with which people come over and not the quantity.

There's a desire to see Reddit eat shit and I understand that. And seeing Lemmy take all of its users is part of that. But I honestly hated the average Reddit user, I don't feel that way about Lemmy right now.

And I would also like to see the open source community stop splintering so much and start getting behind specific FOSS apps such that an app like sync won't stand out so much in terms of polish.

I'd just rather be using a FOSS one. But damn has sync been a nice experience.
