"Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that China firmly opposes the US' long-term abuse of illegal unilateral sanctions and so-called long-arm jurisdiction, which grossly interferes in other nations' internal affairs.

Guo urged the US to cease meddling in Venezuela's domestic affairs, revoke its illegal unilateral sanctions against Venezuela, and take more actions conducive to peace, stability, and development in Venezuela and other countries."

Are they going to materially oppose this or are they just talking though?

In the case of Russia they did allow/set-up companies to go in between Russian and Chinese companies so that Chinese companies could trade with Russia and continue trading with the west, but in this case it seems that any trade of oil or gas at all by China with Venezuela will lead to a 25% tarrif by the US, so will they actually continue the trade with Venezuela or will they back down as they used to do?

Statements aren't going to feed Venezuelans after all.
