Enough Musk Spam

For those that have had enough of the Elon Musk worship online.

No flaming, baiting, etc. This community is intended for those opposed to the influx of Elon Musk-related advertising online. Coming here to defend Musk or his companies will not get you banned, but it likely will result in downvotes. Please use the reporting feature if you see a rule violation.

Opinions from all sides of the political spectrum are welcome here. However, we kindly ask that off-topic political discussion be kept to a minimum, so as to focus on the goal of this sub. This community is minimally moderated, so discussion and the power of upvotes/downvotes are allowed, provided lemmy.world rules are not broken.

Post links to instances of obvious Elon Musk fanboy brigading in default subreddits, lemmy/kbin communities/instances, astroturfing from Tesla/SpaceX/etc., or any articles critical of Musk, his ideas, unrealistic promises and timelines, or the working conditions at his companies.

Tesla-specific discussion can be posted here as well as our sister community /c/RealTesla.

No. He just stopped letting his PR people manage his twitter account. The man had a falling out with his father because his father married his step sister before he could. His family was never well.

Elon's father did take for his third wife, the daughter of his second wife, with her previous partner. This was decades after he disowned Elon. Might as well mention Elon did not inherit any emerald mine money either.

so, he's basically a south african hapsburg?

[–] Jamablaya@lemmy.today 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

no Hapsburgs were doing that with blood relatives.

[–] melpomenesclevage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 6 points 1 week ago (1 children)

pretty sure it's what they were known for.

[–] Jamablaya@lemmy.today 5 points 1 week ago (2 children)

So you understand why it's not Hapsburg like, then?

[–] melpomenesclevage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I think you're giving the hapsburgs too much credit. I see them as delusional inbred shit heads who kind of burned europe to the ground at a whim.

Look, the fucking point was Errol Musk wasn't blood related to any of his wives. How is it this hard for you to see that?

[–] melpomenesclevage@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 6 days ago (1 children)

but not for lack of trying on his part.

[–] Jamablaya@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

That doesn't even make any sense

[–] Duamerthrax@lemmy.world 1 points 1 week ago (1 children)

Hapsburgs at least had some cultural normalcy and the goal of stable international politics to excuse their actions. Errol Musk doesn't have that excuse.

They had a cousinly spat that caused us to decide that all is not fair in war and that actually we need clear rules because this got out of hand
