Guterres went to Russia and shook hands with Putin, presumably he would have shook hands with Zelensky as well when he got to Ukraine.

He's the secretary-general of the UN, it's not his job to take sides in global conflicts and speak for the entire world. He has to be diplomatic regardless of which world leader he meets, and talk to both sides.
