Dude...
Yeah I realize my comment came off as argumentative and isn’t really how I meant it, I more so meant I can’t see a way for me to use a wired set without changing how comfortable my run currently is. (Again, I do PREFER wired for home use etc, but on the go I just can’t use anything but my AirPods for comfort). I think it’s also an ease of use thing for me too, as I LOVE that I can go for that run, come home, take a shower WITH THEM, to rinse off, then sit down with my steam deck and they are already connected without me doing a thing. I think I’m just spoiled by the ease of use the more I type about this honestly.
If you find yourself having a good run with them, have at it, don't let anyone yuck your yum.
I just want to be given the possibility of making the choice I think it's best for my use cases
I do think adapters are not a terrible option as people make them out to be, as an Apple user I just would be happy with usbc wired headphones…. Once the eu finally forced Apple to make the iPhone use usb c. It’s literally the only device I have that doesn’t use it. And I hate lightening so much I just use MagSafe to charge in my vehicle and by my bed and that’s it. I refuse to carry another cable.
while they're better than having nothing at all, I don't think they're a good solution: if you connect a dongle every day to your phone you're putting a lot of strain on a USB-C port, making it wear a lot faster than usual. It happened to me with my last cell phone, in a little more than one year it couldn't hold the charging cable properly anymore and I was forced to change it. If you use it extensively like I did, bluetooth earphones might be a better choice
