Chronicle the life and tale of the fediverse (+ matrix)

Largely a sublemmy about capturing drama, from fediverse spanning drama to just lemmy drama.

Includes lore like how a instance got it's name, how an instance got defederated, how an admin got doxxed, fedihistory etc

(New) This sub's intentions is to an archive/newspaper, as in preferably don't get into fights with each other or the ppl featured in the drama

This is *about* drama. Not meant to be drama in itself. So meant for discussion one level higher (/more abstract). And this post doesn't do that. Just pointing somewhere "Here is drama" isn't adding anything on that level. I mean OP doesn't even judge, make any statements or engage in anything, except steer more people towards the drama.

And I'd argue it's not even drama. The internet is full of people expressing crude opinions on that conflict, Israel and Nazis. It's just business as usual on the internet. And generally speaking, if you don't like it: Don't feed the trolls! The correct way is not to give them even more attention. Either downvote them and be done with it, or completely ignore them and let them devolve into meaninglessness. Or report them, get the post deleted and let them have their argument someplace else, not on the Fediverse.

And following the description of this community: Why is exactly this post that outstanding and what makes it worth preserving above other posts?

So to sum it up: I see at least two major issues why this post doesn't fit here. It'd be healthier if we did anything constructive here, not blow up any random misbehaviour and feed the fire.

And "Don't feed the trolls" is a very basic rule on the internet. Known at least since the 1990s. You'd better have a reason to violate it. Or you're just dragging down the place and foster trolling and bad behaviour.
