Please delete this line. It looks kinda suspicious. Do it like other projects do it. Make 2 installation instructions: one for downloading a binary from the releases page and another one for compilation.
The whole thing looks suspicious to me - there are no images of the game, broken English everywhere, tons of contributors but only one open issue. The repo is just odd in a lot of ways and is sending out bad vibes.
Also, the Android instructions make no sense, since there's no APK in the releases. Unless they somehow bundle that in the source code or Linux zip.
Github is just for source code. Most thing are done on Discord. And the Android verison is currently broken. That's why it's not in release.
Please don't be one of them Devs that does everything on discord. It's awful for knowledge. You'll just get people asking the same questions because you don't have an FAQ or a wiki, or even a forum elsewhere that's easily searchable.
They have a wiki(just for a fact Rhythia Discord server have over 48k members)
If it's broken then why no issue being tracked? Is there any issue tracking at all or is it genuinely all through Discord?
I would really recommend using GitHub's features whenever possible, especially for important information like the status of the Android build. Very few people are keen to join a Discord group to find the status of your code or instructions
Why are you doing all project management in Discord?
I am not the dev but probabaly because making a community on Discord is easy.
Thank you for a more detailed response. I didn't check everything that thoroughly. I just noticed the first line that was suspicious. Broken English does create suspicious vibes but some people just can't speak it very well. Translators exist though.
The repo is kinda sus. I won't let it in my machine for sure.
It's played by 100 of player every day. You can compile it yourself using Godot. https://wiki.rhythia.net/
Because so many user download Github repo as zip. And ask how to launch game in discord server. This is just a warning to them.
Huh that's weird. Usually people that are familiar with GitHub do know that the releases page exist.
Yea, It's wierd I know.
If someone's downloading a github repo as a zip I'd consider that a sign they're not familiar with github lol
