This seems to be the wrong approach, as it does not emit additional CO2, but the carbon dioxide captured from the atmosphere is immediately returned to it. There might be cases where synthetic fuel indeed is necessary, but I don't think we should rely too much on that … and we should not sacrifice the integrity of the Patagonian ecosystems to that.
